What results are possible?
About two weeks after your sample is received at the GRAIL laboratory, you will receive one of two results:
If a cancer signal is detected, additional follow-up diagnostic tests ordered by a healthcare provider are required to confirm cancer.
Diagnostic testing is needed to confirm cancer. If a cancer signal is detected, Galleri can predict the tissue type or organ associated with the signal to help healthcare providers determine next steps. A Galleri result of No Cancer Signal Detected does not rule out cancer.
Based on a clinical study of people ages 50 to 79, around 1% are expected to receive a Cancer Signal Detected result which includes a predicted Cancer Signal Origin. After diagnostic evaluation, around 40% of these people are expected to have a confirmed cancer diagnosis.
